Anne Beneville

Anne is a Certified Mat Class Instructor.  Anne started taking Pilates classes in 2001..  “I was hooked from the very first class.  I felt taller and my lower back, which tended to give me a lot of discomfort, felt really good,” states Anne.

After spending nearly a year as a student, Anne decided to pursue a certification through The Physical Mind Institute so she could teach Pilates to others.  She was so enthusiastic about the benefits of the exercises; the decision to teach was easy.  She believes Pilates is for anyone and everyone.  “Fitness level is not an issue. Every session teaches you more about your own body, its strengths and weaknesses.  From there, you can build a much more efficient machine,” enthuses Anne.

Anne’s favorite exercises are teaser, because it challenges your body to work smoothly, and plank, because it lengthens the body and develops great upper body strength.

bonnie

Bonnie Ben Pilar

Bonnie began practicing Pilates in the early 1990’s while living in NYC….before the Pilates explosion began. After moving to Rockland County, Bonnie continued her Pilates classes at Pilates Central in Nyack soon after the fully equipped studio opened.

It was during one of her classes at Pilates Central that Bonnie decided it was time to become a certified instructor in The Method Pilates. “I came to realize how functional Pilates really is after experiencing various exercise disciplines. It truly is an exercise for day-to-day living, not just for working out in a studio. My clients leave their session with a heightened body awareness and the “tools” to help them maintain that awareness on a daily basis.”

Bonnie is Certified in Advanced Mat and Equipment exercises through Physicalmind Institute.
She is also certified in Pilates for Golf.

Aside from teaching Pilates, Bonnie shows and breeds international and regional winning Maine Coon cats.
Her cattery name is Mainlysilver…..and being a SAG member, Bonnie works occasionally in film and TV.

Now a resident of Grand View on Hudson, Bonnie is married with two daughters, one son-in -law and one granddaughter.
